The Ancient Mariner
Our show is based on the supernatural poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, who grew up in nearby Ottery St Mary.
We present a gripping and creepy tale told by the Ancient Mariner himself, together with his talented musician partner.
The Mariner famously shot an albatross and regretted it. Our show opens out into a wider look at how we feel about the natural world and our place in it.
The performance takes place around and inside the boat. It's designed for family audiences ( ages 7+).
Places are limited to 20 on every performance.
The audience assembles on the beach nearby where the show begins.
The show lasts approximately 45 minutes. Expect some enchanting storytelling and some time being carefully loaded aboard the boat, accompanied by compelling music.
We regret that at this stage in our project's development, audience members will need to be able to climb stairs and duck in through a hatch.
