Our theatre started life as a safety boat for the Gryphon A oilfield.  When it was time for a refurb she was sold for re-use or for scrap, and we chose to recycle her.

We have used second hand and recycled materials wherever we could, to get her shipshape and registered as a commercial vessel in her own right.

We are creating a low-impact touring theatre site which will tell stories connected to our South Devon area and which will have universal meanings.  We're now at the beginning of discovering what she's capable of.

Starting with an adaptation of The Ancient Mariner, around South Devon, we're confident that she will inspire new ideas and collaborations in the seasons to come.
